Seth Knudsen

Coach/Director of Hockey

Coach Knudsen has been the head coach of Mason for 7 seasons. This is his 17th season of coaching hockey.

Coach Knudsen grew up in North Dakota and started coaching hockey in 2001 for the Fargo Flyers youth hockey organization in Fargo ND. What started out as way to pass time in college, has turned into a lifetime passion. He spent 7 years in the Flyers organization and coached at the Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam levels. Prior to moving to OH, he helped coach the Bantam AAA team that won nationals.

Coach Knudsen moved to Cincinnati in 2007 and spent 2 years coaching Bantam travel hockey and was awarded the head coach of the Cincinnati U 16 pre-post team in 2010 where he coached the top HS players in the area for 3 seasons. In 2012 he was awarded Coach of the Year by the Cincinnati Amateur Hockey Association.

Upon joining Mason, he helped guide the team to 3 consecutive state appearances at that the club level as well as two league championships.

The thing he enjoys the most about coaching is helping develop players on and off the ice. There is nothing he enjoys more than seeing his former players become successful long after they leave the program.
